Winter 2025 Knox Sound Map

Inspired by notions of 'sonic imagination' (Sterne 2011) and 'acoustemology' - the study of local conditions of acoustic sensation, knowledge, and imagination, embodied in culturally particular senses of place (Feld 2005:179), students of AnSo 342 Sound Cultures (Winter 2025) explored the interrelationships of sounds and senses of place on the Knox College campus.  We invite you to listen in on these sonic events of place making in action.
